What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Coordinator - FULL TIME position at Barstow Community?
Under the Direction of the Admitting Director. The Eligibility Representative shall screen referred self-pay patients for programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid for Nursing Home Placement, Crime Victims, Vocational Rehabilitation, QMB, SSI and any/all other third party coverage and other available local, state and federal programs and the Hospital’s Financial Assistance Program, The Eligibility Representative shall provide Point of Service collections for self-pay patients and patients who have balances after insurance or Medicare payments when hospital Financial Counselors/Registration is unavailable and behind hospital employees once determined the patient does not qualify for any programs/coverage.
Pay rate: $21.00 - $23.40 Per Hour
