Description: BASX Solutions is looking for experienced plumbers / pipefitters to join our team!
Duties will include layout, assembly, install and maintain pipe systems (CPVC, black iron, copper). Pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling.
- Read, understand and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
- Installation or repair according to specifications (Copper/CPVC/ black iron).
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Cut and bore holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, gluing, soldering and threading joints.
- Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets and/or Unistrut.
- Inspect, examine and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydro-static testing, observation and other methods.
- Trouble problems in the piping systems we build.
- Install automatic controls used to regulate hydronic and refrigerant systems.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 Years in pipefitting / plumbing or similar trade.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Competency in selecting pipe type, size and related materials, such as supports, hangers per job specifications.
- Copper brazing experience.
- Refrigeration experience.
- CPVC knowledge.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts (Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4:30pm) or 12-hour shifts (Friday - Sunday, 6am - 6pm).
