The School Liaison will serve as a bridge between Bay State Community Services and students, families, or external stakeholders. This role involves building relationships, coordinating resources, and facilitating communication to ensure students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being.
What You Will Be Doing to Support Families...
· Provide information and educational resources to FRC families
· Assist schools to identify resources to meet students needs
· Ensure that all family members experiencing CRA-related issues are connected to services that meet their individual needs
· Ensure that there is a process established to provide information, referral and direct assistance where possible for individual family members
· Responsible for networking and disseminating information
· Assist youth and families with obtaining an Individual Education Plan
· Meet with school personnel as necessary
· Responsible for negotiating and implementing special events and other interagency activities that involve schools
· Host parent and youth support groups
· Driving is required

Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Experience with youth and families
· Experience with educational systems preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Computer proficiency
· At minimum, basic verbal fluency in Haitian-Creole, French, and/or Spanish required
