About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid role, requiring weekly onsite presence in Jacksonville.
As a Technical Architect, you will provide architecture leadership across multiple development teams, collaborate with IT and Business teams to define strategic roadmaps, and ensure alignment with DevOps and Cloud strategies. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide architecture leadership and hands-on development support across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with Senior IT and Business Managers to design systems aligned with the client’s strategic roadmap.
- Lead development teams in designing, supporting, and developing systems for various Lines of Business.
- Participate in Proof-of-Concept work to evaluate software, platforms, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team on current and future technologies.
- Ensure alignment with DevOps and Cloud strategies, including vendor relationship management and product evaluations.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of progressive experience in a technical discipline.
- Expertise in technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, AWS, Postgres SQL, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins is a plus).
- Experience with hybrid environments (On-Premises, Cloud, SaaS) and cloud-native solutions (Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, cloud data platforms).
- Familiarity with NoSQL, Messaging Platforms, Atlassian Tools, Cloud Migration, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Organizational Change Management.
- Proven experience designing and developing large-scale enterprise applications in roles such as Technical Development Lead, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in application performance analysis and tuning.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with third-party system integrations via APIs.
- Knowledge of strategic platform planning and business outcome-focused solutions.
Work Schedule:
This is a hybrid role, requiring weekly onsite presence in Jacksonville, FL.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary of $150,000−$160,000 with a discretionary bonus.
