What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist (WILLING TO TRAIN) PART/FULL position at Beard Navasota Veterinary Hospital?
We are a large, fast-paced, mixed animal hospital looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of enthusiastic and energetic customer service representatives. Our receptionists play a vital role in client service and serve as the first line of communication for our hospital. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a problem solver, and enjoys working with people and their pets
This is a position that may include evenings. Previous veterinary receptionist experience is a plus.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
- Answering the phone and scheduling appointments
- Appropriately documenting messages for doctors
- Entering charges, collecting payment, and updating client information
- Filling prescriptions, creating health certificates, maintaining client files
- Provide a positive front desk experience for our clients and their pets
If you have:
- A positive attitude, are enthusiastic and energetic, and very organized,
- Are dependable, punctual, and flexible to work with our clients’ schedules,
- Are able to work 40 hours a week, after hours as needed,
- Have a minimum of two years receptionist experience preferably in a medical or veterinary setting,
- Knowledge of hospital/veterinary practice and procedures,
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information discreetly,
- Proven experience as a motivated self-starter who works with little direction
- The ability to identify issues and formulate solutions,
- Superb communication skills and excellent conflict management skills,
- Proven experience working closely and successfully in a team environment,

Pay: $10.00 - $18.00 per hour
