Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff.
Duties
Leadership and Supervisory Skills
- Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients about services, care instructions, and follow-ups.
- Ability to oversee and manage front desk staff effectively.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to reception team members.
- Monitor staff performance and address any challenges promptly.
Customer Service Excellence
- Set the standard for professional and compassionate client interactions.
- Handle escalated client concerns and resolve issues diplomatically.
Advanced Communication Skills
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
Multitasking and Prioritization
- Manage high-pressure situations while ensuring efficient front desk operations.
- Balance supervisory duties with hands-on responsibilities like scheduling and client check-ins.
Organizational and Administrative Skills
- Oversee appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow.
- Ensure accuracy in billing, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
- Quickly address scheduling conflicts, staffing issues, or client concerns.
- Implement solutions to improve front desk efficiency and client satisfaction.
Technical Proficiency
- Expertise in veterinary practice management software (e.g., AVImark, Rapport, Online pharmacy Portals).
- Train team members on software and ensure proper usage.

- Maintain high standards for data accuracy and compliance with clinic protocols.
- Ensure the front desk operates smoothly and efficiently at all times.

This is a Full-Time position Monday through Friday and every other Saturday 8am-2pm and some holiday's. Monday through Friday Shifts will vary (7-4pm, 11-7pm, etc.)
