What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Instructor/Choreographer position at Beat the Street Community Center?
JOB HOURS:
- Dance classes: Tues & Thurs, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
- Work schedule is subject to change as the program grows
- Must be available for special events, public performances, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct children and teenagers in different styles of Dance - predominantly Hip-Hop and lyrical jazz.
- Choreograph Dance Performances
- Create audio sound tracks for performances
- Schedule dance performances at public events and competitions
- Schedule dance performances at hospitals or rest homes as outreach performance in our community

COMPENSATION:
- $35 for each one-hour dance class; initially, two classes per week
- $25/hour for additional work not related to running classes. For example, special events and public performances.
