Beat the Street Community Center in Meriden provides athletic, artistic and personal development programs for members aged 8 through young adult. On an average day, 45 members participate in our programs. Job Responsibilities
Arrive at the center by 4:30 pm to open the doors for business, Monday – Friday. (Mon–Thurs in Summer). Close down the center at 8:00.
Operate the Reception Desk
- Ensure that arriving members are properly signed in
- Enroll and orient new members
- Answer questions from members, parents, and the general public who call or visit the center.
Supervision and Oversight
- Train and supervise additional staff members who are assigned to work at the Reception Desk.
- Ensure that the center’s policies and guidelines are followed by members and staff.
Communication
- Use the Remind text messaging system to communicate with members and parents regarding events, schedules, etc.
Data Management and Reporting
- Download attendance data from our attendance management system and create reports in Excel.
- Liaison with the attendance system vendor and Beat the Street’s IT consultant regarding issues with the system.

· Must possess basic level proficiency with Microsoft Excel (for example: navigation, formulas). Will need to use Pivot Table and V-lookup Excel tools. We will train you on them if necessary.)
