Job Title: Lead Bartender

Location: Black Walnut // 100 NE 4th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 Schedule: Full-Time; Hourly – Non-Exempt
Black Walnut is home to OKC’s first James Beard Award-winning Chef, Andrew Black. Job Summary:
Bartenders prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They may also make their own drink recipes and accoutrements. In addition to beverage production, Bartenders also provide food service and hospitality to all guests of the restaurant.
The Lead Bartender leads the bar team by maintaining a high level of knowledge in beverage service, role-modeling positive behaviors and adherence to company standards, as well as managing inventory and purchasing beverage products for the restaurant.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Performs weekly and monthly inventory counts.
· Purchases beverage, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget.
· Stocks and organizes the bar areas.
· Leads the bar on the busiest shifts; uses slower times to train and develop staff.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare the restaurant for service with proper cleaning and setup.
· Maintain a high level of knowledge in food and beverage.
· Greet guests and initiate service, following a carefully curated service plan.
· Provide efficient and professional service with a focus on providing unique and engaging hospitality.
· Prepare craft cocktails to the recipe specifications provided.
· Ensure the safe service of alcohol by following all state and federal laws / regulations.
· Deliver dishes at each course, offering a detailed explanation of each item.
· Clear dishes in a clean and orderly manner.
· Work effectively within a team.
· Break down and clean the restaurant after each service.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
· Ability to memorize and retain large amounts of information.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 1-2 years of restaurant experience preferred.
