Description & Qualifications
The lead steward is responsible for supporting the dining room operations team by overseeing daily tasks of china, glass, linen and silverware inventories, inventory of standard dining room supplies, in room dining deliveries and set up and break down of auxiliary F&B stations and dining rooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Full set up of dining rooms and common areas
- Delivery of food and beverages to private homes, common areas and hotel accommodations
- Setting tables
- Moving chairs and tables according to setup configurations as needed
- Special event set ups such as group dinners, beverage tastings and catering offerings
- Keeping other members of the Stewarding team on task
- Polishing glassware & silverware for daily services
- Dusting, Sweeping and Mopping, Cleaning Windows
- Oversee storage areas to ensure cleanliness and organization to include:
- Back of House F&B storage area
- F&B Hub Storage Room
- Polishing Room
- Furniture Storage area
- Glassware and Silverware Storage area
- Wine Cave
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cohesively working with the AM Lead Steward and overseeing any members of the PM steward team
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent
ABC TN Permit
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate with other Team Members and Managers/Supervisors
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to simultaneously manage diverse tasks
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to be on feet for 90-100% of shift
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Professional Kitchen
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
