Blackburn College, a unique four-year liberal arts college with a student-managed work program located in Carlinville, IL, seeks applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President of Administration and Finance
The successful candidate will support the Provost and the Vice President of Administration & Finance in daily operations, including analyzing data, preparing reports, phone coverage, scheduling appointments and clerical support. This position will serve as the recording secretary to committees to ensure record keeping and consistency of processes. This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of large scale campus and community events. This position provides clerical support and organization for routine faculty activities such as: mentoring; teaching observations and reappointment for adjunct, visiting, and pre-tenured faculty; and assisting with searches as needed.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Additionally, the candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences. This position handles significant amounts of sensitive information and the ability to exhibit confidentiality and discretion are essential. Candidates with experience in higher education will be given preference.
The salary range for this position will be $45,000-$50,000. The final salary offered will depend on the individual's years of related work experience and whether the education qualifications are met.
