- Work with heavy equipment, grinding tools, high pressure paint pumps and power tools.
- Perform periodic touch up and outside painting.
- Retrieve and store paints from storage area.

Role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare work area including taping, sanding, surface prep, and mixing, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of paints or coatings such as 2-part epoxies acrylic polyurethane, internal paint lining, direct to metal epoxy.
- Apply coatings to manufactures specifications and customers’ requirements.
- Maintain paint equipment in clean and working order.
- Utilize Fresh Air or Full-Face Masks and Tyvek Suits (PPE) to perform duties.
- Operate and understand airless spray system.
- Operate and understand conventional spray pot.
- Read and interpret blueprints and product data sheets.
- Knowledge and experience working with the surface preparation standards SSPC.
- Operate a pneumatic DA sander, mixing drill etc.
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2 years previous industrial painting experience.
- Plural unit experience is a plus
- Experience in application of paints and specialty coatings (pump, airless, & conventional spray, brush/roller).
- Experience in application of specialty coatings (epoxies, urethanes, & zincs).
- Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus.
- Physical stamina
- Typical Mon-Fri schedule, 8-10hr days, possible Saturdays
- Familiarity with power tools
- Familiarity with high pressure paint pumps
COMPENSATION RANGE
- $24 – $30/hour DOE
The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.
