Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Security Guards for Mobile Patrol and/or Stationary positions in Sioux Falls, SD. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' assets, employees, and visitors. Security Guards will play a key role in crime prevention, emergency response, and maintaining a strong visible presence to deter any potential threats or incidents.
For Mobile Patrol positions, the role involves patrolling designated areas in a company-provided vehicle, performing security checks, and responding swiftly to alarms or incidents. For Stationary positions, guards will be responsible for monitoring entrances, surveillance systems, and ensuring a secure and welcoming environment. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset to address security challenges effectively.
Whether patrolling facilities or monitoring a specific site, our Security Guards are expected to provide professional, courteous service while upholding Blackstone's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols (mobile or foot) to monitor and secure premises.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on daily activities and incidents.
- Assist visitors, employees, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement as necessary.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for mobile patrol positions).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.
- Prior security experience is a plus but not required.
