Position Summary
Our client, is seeking a highly technical Data Project Manager for a red-hot opportunity. This individual will play a critical role in managing data engineering initiatives alongside a team of 15 Data Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in data engineering and a proven track record of transitioning from data warehousing to advanced data engineering.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise, particularly in Python, PySpark, and the Foundry platform. Immediate interviews are being conducted, and offers will be extended promptly to selected candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical project manager, leading data engineering projects from concept to completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Oversee data engineering processes, ensuring the efficient use of Python, PySpark, and the Foundry platform.
Manage and mentor a team of 15 Data Engineers to ensure project success.
Develop, monitor, and maintain project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, applying advanced data engineering knowledge.
Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Required Skills and Experience
Hands-on experience in Python and PySpark (Intermediate to Advanced level).
Proficiency with the Foundry platform and other relevant data tools.
Background in data warehousing, with a successful transition to data engineering roles.
Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex data projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
