Outside Sales Representative
Blue Dolphin Screenprint and Embroidery, Inc. is a leading regional apparel decorator and promotional products distributor located in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Family owned and operated for over 30 years, we have delivered high quality customer service and products to a variety of clients, such as New Balance, Shipyard Brewing Company, Life is Good and University of New Hampshire, just to name a few.
We are dedicated to providing our employees with a team environment that allows them to feel part of the success of the company. We are now looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team.
Job Summary
Make initial sales contacts via telephone or in-person within an assigned territory or as directed by company management. Process all customer inquiries; quotations; and orders as received. Confirm pricing, quantities, and delivery requirements with the customer. Interface with sales management, graphic design, production and accounting in order to insure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties
- Manage assigned territory with existing Book of Business.
- Call on prospective customers in the targeted markets to introduce company’s capabilities, new promotional services or items.
- Provide consultation to customers on various types of products and services.
- Follow-up with new or existing customer inquiries on various marketing promotions.
- Maintain customer reporting system and other sales reports.
- Achieve and maintain rapport with customers.
- Receive all incoming inquiries, requests for quotes and orders from customers.
- Follow-up on inquires to insure order placement.
Job Requirements
- Education – Associate’s degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
- Experience - 3 to 5 years in Sales or Customer Service in the promotional industry or related industries preferred.
- Adobe Illustrator and Shopworks experience preferred.
- Must travel daily within the assigned sales territory.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must be proficient in M/S: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must work with minimum supervision and have a high capacity to make decisions.
Compensation and other considerations
- Salary: Includes initial base plus commissions.
- Travel allowance, cell phone, computer provided.
- Benefits: HRA (Health Reimbursement) and Dental insurance, STD/Life/AD&D insurance, paid vacation and 401K program with 4% company match.
