Field Engineer
As a Field Engineer for our MSP that provides a comprehensive suite of technology services, including communications, remote monitoring and management (RMM), phone systems, cameras, network infrastructure, and security solutions, your role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support and services to our clients. You will work directly with clients on-site and remotely to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize their IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-site Support:
- Visit client locations to install, configure, and maintain various IT systems, phone systems, cameras, and network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve them promptly.
- Ensure all on-site work is performed efficiently and minimizes disruption to the client's operations.
- Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM):
- Respond to alerts, diagnose issues, and initiate corrective actions remotely.
- Client Interaction:
- Build strong client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients, addressing their questions and concerns.
- Technology Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure communication systems, security cameras, and network equipment.
- Ensure that all systems are set up to meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Network Infrastructure:
- Assist in implementing network infrastructure solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Perform network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of on-site visits, configurations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide accurate documentation to support billing and reporting requirements.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer:
- Train clients and end-users on the proper use of IT systems and technologies.
- Share knowledge and insights with colleagues to enhance team expertise.
Qualifications:
- A valid TWIC card.
- A valid passport.
- Strong knowledge of communications systems, phone systems, security cameras, and network infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client locations as needed.
Salary : $15 - $30
