Position Summary:
The Account Manager assists our Senior Account Executive(s) in all sales and marketing efforts necessary to secure new and repeat business. This position requires a fast learner who can be actively involved in all facets of the sales process. Working closely with the Account Executive and our clients, the Account Manager will deliver new business quotes and RFPs, while also managing internal and external administrative needs. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn and effectively support a successful sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Account Executive in achieving the sales and profit goals established by Senior Management by routinely assisting in sales and marketing efforts.
- Provide a high level of customer service that ensures client satisfaction.
- Follow all Sales and Operations Department processes and procedures.
- Effectively work and communicate with internal departments.
- Work closely to support the Senior Account Executive in setting prices, developing promotions, offering discounts, and tailoring products and services to unique markets, in order to increase sales.
- Protect company assets by ensuring the accurate and secure operation of company equipment, invoices, and work orders, and the responsible and prudent handling of credit sales.
- Constantly strive to increase product knowledge by reading trade publications and vendor supplied materials, attending sales training provided by vendor representatives, etc.
- Fulfill other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time by the Sales Leadership.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A college degree in business or another applicable field is preferred.
- Experience with customer service and Account Executive support.
- Basic understanding of AV sales and service.
- At least 2 years of sales experience in assisting multiple Account Executives with an approximate volume of $1,500,000 in gross sales.
- Outstanding client service.
- Ability to professionally respond to common inquiries from clients and members of the business community.
- Ability to navigate and efficiently use Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office product is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
