What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Administrator position at Bobcat of San Antonio?
The Service Administrator is responsible for processing orders for the Service Department warehousing functions – picking, packing and shipping, and delivery and pickup of parts to service mechanics. Assists in determining service requirements, ensuring all service issues are handled expeditiously and company service guidelines are appropriately followed.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists customers by properly identifying service needs
- Ensures customer receives the appropriate documentation on equipment servicing specifics and schedule, as suggested by manufacturer
- Presents, with strong knowledge, the features and benefits to servicing equipment as suggested by manufacturer
- Maintains a clean and “professional” looking work area for service department parts sales
- Operates as a facilitator in finding what services customers need
- Monitors mechanics’ ordering patterns to maximize the effectiveness of the service parts sales
- Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs
- Takes care of warranty concerns
- Accurate in entering necessary information in the inventory control system records
- Conducts self in a professional and respectful manner at all times with co-workers and customers
- Attends company functions and meetings, visiting with customers and performing other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Represents the Company at factory, industry and company events, including meetings and training
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Desired Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of three years working experience in a related field
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual is required (Spanish)
- Computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications
- Background check and pre-employment drug testing required
- Personal appearance must be neat and clean
- The environment is mainly inside, sometimes inventories will be taken outside
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
