Job Summary: The Hotel Floor Care Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of all hotel floors. This includes cleaning and sanitizing various floor types, ensuring floors are free from hazards, and performing basic maintenance tasks to keep the hotel in excellent condition for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean all types of flooring (carpets, tiles, wood, etc.) in public spaces, corridors, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Floor Maintenance: Identify and address issues like stains, spills, scuffs, and other damage on floors. Report significant damage or repairs needed to management.
- Safety Protocols: Ensure floors are dry, free of obstacles, and that warning signs are in place to prevent accidents. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Trash Removal: Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas as part of the floor care process.
- Special Projects: Assist in deep cleaning, floor buffing, and other seasonal or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance to guests or other staff in a polite and professional manner when necessary, including addressing any floor-related concerns.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate floor cleaning equipment like vacuums, buffers, and sweepers and report any malfunctions or issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.
