Hours: 30 hrs/wk, M-F, occasional evening/weekend hours-flexible schedule as needed
Location: Truancy Reduction Center (TRC)
Job Summary: Coordinate impactful targeted programming for youth and families experiencing chronic absenteeism and/or truancy. Oversee case management services, treatment planning goals, and educational opportunities for students and families experiencing attendance problems throughout Orange County. Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to mitigate truancy through utilization of restorative practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibility

Plan and oversee the administration of the program and activities that support the mission

Establish objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission
-
Oversee the provision of day to day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
-
Cultivate and establish partner relationships and recognize partnerships with BGCGG programs, families and community partners
-

Establish and maintain program goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of staff and youth
-
Ensure a healthy and safe environment and that all facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained; practice sound judgment regarding safety
-
Supervise staff and volunteers and provide leadership and guidance
-
Ensure staff/volunteers are provided with clear expectations, sufficient training and guidance and are held to those expectations consistently

Ensure staff understand and effectively communicate standards of BGCGG and Community Impact Programs

Provide clear and effective staff/volunteer evaluations within BGCGG established timelines
-
Develop and recognize staff/volunteers for contributions to BGCGG and families
-
Ensure consistent work schedules, office hours and payroll documentation for self and team are consistently maintained
-
Participate in the implementation and monitoring of the annual budget, invoices, and ensure programs and activities are operated within established guidelines
-
Ensure the maintenance of documentation for grants/contracts and share pertinent information with community stakeholders
-
Regularly conduct monthly audits of finances, client management software, client files, intakes, case notes and staff hours
-
Oversee proper record keeping and reporting; include documentation of expenses, activities and events conducted, daily participation figures, notable achievements/success stories, program outcomes, program goals and any program issues

Ensure the utmost quality of programming; follow contract expectations, oversee quality curriculum for classes, and program evaluation for goal setting and community reporting

Increase community awareness of Truancy Mediation and other Community Impact Programs through outreach presentations and meetings with partners, programs and other community organizations

Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, members, BGCGG partners and others
-
Preserve confidentiality of all client, staff, volunteer and agency information - exceptions include information pertaining to child abuse, elder abuse, danger to self or others or in response to an authorized release of information

Remain knowledgeable of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations

Work with diverse populations in a culturally competent manner; remain objective in crisis situations and maintain healthy boundaries

Maintain administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, following up on phone calls, receiving, conducting meetings, completing reports and tracking data

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations, family information and referral services for the program by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, conducting case management, conducting intakes, providing translation and scheduling classes as needed

Plan and coordinate special events; attend meetings and trainings as necessary

Assist in planning and coordination of trainings and special events as requested

Utilize networking skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships

Participate in agency functions as a participant or presenter as needed

Carry a caseload with supervisor approval and receive clinical supervision
-
Maintain knowledge of truancy and case management principles
Qualifications
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field; MSW preferred
-
2 years post baccalaureate experience in social services, health care or related field; experience working with families and youth preferred
-
Experience in case management and knowledge in case management philosophy and function
-
Must have knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Office - specifically, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook; including a variety of other computer software applications such as Zoom
-
Must effectively communicate both in writing and verbally; must have public speaking skills and the ability to present in front of large and small groups
-
Must have project management skills and the ability to provide training

Bilingual capabilities preferred

Valid CA driver license, current automobile insurance, safe driving record, at least 2 years of driving experience and reliable transportation

Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist; seeing to review and analyze reports, documents or other reports; hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others; speaking to be heard before groups of people; position may require to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects between 10-20 pounds
