Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Resource Development Associate to join our RD/Fundraising team. This multifaceted role involves recording revenue, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, maintaining meticulous documentation, overseeing budget management, and coordinating with various departments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in administrative functions that support the organization’s financial and operational success. This position involves collaboration across departments and requires a proactive approach to managing tasks as the organization’s needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Portfolio Management:
- Support the complete lifecycle of grants, from initial application to reporting, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintain a comprehensive grant portfolio, tracking key dates, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Revenue Entry and Financial Administration:
- Enter and manage all gift revenue, grant funds, and other revenue sources into the organization’s CRM or financial systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Process and record donations, grants, and other contributions, maintaining meticulous records for reconciliation and auditing purposes.
- Make sure tax and acknowledgements are sent to donors.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all revenue is accurately tracked and reported in alignment with organizational policies.
- Cross-Departmental Communication:
- Act as a liaison between program managers, finance, and other departments to facilitate timely and accurate communication of grant requirements and updates.
- Provide regular updates to relevant departments regarding grant status, deadlines, and reporting requirements, fostering alignment with organizational objectives.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely submission of financial reports as required by grant agreements and monitor grant expenditures against approved budgets.
- Prepare accurate and detailed grant reports, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and providing comprehensive updates to funders on program impact.
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all grant-related communications, applications, and reports for auditing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field a plus
- Proven experience in grant portfolio administration, with a successful track record in managing grant compliance and documentation.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft concise and detailed grant reports.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with grant management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CRM systems. Experience with Salesforce is desired.
