WEEKEND PACKAGE

RN - REGISTERED NURSE or LPN - LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Weekend Pay is x 1.25% of your Base Wage

Briarwood Health Care Center is looking a Registered Nurse RN or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to fill a current opening. This position requires working every weekend but gives you full-time pay with full-time benefits. May require one shift during the week.

Registered Nurse RN/LPN Licensed Practical Nurse:

· Responsibility for daily nursing operations of a specific hall

· Provides nursing care for each assigned patient/resident including ongoing assessment and treatment to ensure the highest level of functioning is attained

· Administers prescribed medications orally and by injection; provides treatments using therapeutic equipment; ensures proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances

· Observes, records and reports changes in patient/residents’ conditions to supervisor and attending physician

· Utilizes the Electronic Health Record to document care (Point Click Care)

· Plans, supervises and instructs Certified Nursing Assistants on daily assignments to ensure quality of care provided

· Provides education to patients/residents and families regarding care and maintains effective communication

Experience and qualifications:

· Current IA Registered Nurse RN license or Licensed Practical Nurse LPN license

· Experience as a Nurse in Long Term Care preferred

· Ability to work in a fast pace environment

· Ability to communicate at all levels of the center and work well within a team environment

· Computer skills and Electronic Health Record experience preferred
