Orthopedic Medical Assistant

Bridger Orthopedic is looking to add a full-time Medical Assistant to our outstanding team. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, patient, and efficient at juggling tasks with focus and the proper sense of urgency. This position is Monday - Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Preferred 1-2 years of related medical experience.
• Preferred EMT, CNA, MA certification or similar.
• Preferred experience with EHR, familiar with health care information systems, data entry.
• Preferred experience with casting
• Experience with/understanding medical terminology. ·

Job Responsibilities include:

• Chart preparation.
• Process and follow-up with incoming referrals
• Prepare patients for exam and treatment. Records patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records.
• Accurately document phone conversations, prescription refills given, and appointments for tests and referrals.
• Schedule follow up appointments, diagnostic tests and injections.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and ensure all exam rooms are appropriately stocked while checking expiration dates.
• Performs casting duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Previous medical assistant or closely related experience preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as a high performing individual contributor.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organization and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,440.00 - $43,680.00 per year
