What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisor position at Brighter Start Health?
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical team in an outpatient, IOP, and PHP addiction recovery environment. You will maintain standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with program policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for directing care of patients, facilitating clinical workflows, and serves as a resource for staff and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Providing supervision of clinical staff and programming for a single outpatient addiction recovery location in New Bern, NC.
- Assisting Clinical Director to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, and program and corporate policies and procedures.
- Monitoring clinician compliance with utilization targets, group attendance, and developing improvement plans when requirements are not met.
- Assisting Clinical Director to manage multiple IOP and PHP program schedules, including in-person and telehealth programs
- Assisting Clinical Director to ensure clinical compliance of NC Medicaid programs, including NCTopps and general NC Medicaid clinical coverage policies
- Assisting Clinical Director, recruiting, hiring, training, and managing the career development and performance management of clinical staff
- Assisting Clinical Director and Outreach Director to attend care coordination and outreach meetings with community service agencies
- Supporting Clinical Director to ensure clients are recommended to the appropriate levels of care, and assisting Clinical Director on admissions and discharge decisions
- Assisting Clinical Director to ensure Utilization Reviews and Peer to Peer reviews are completed in a timely manner
- Conducting patient treatment plan reviews as needed.
- Performing chart audits and communicates results of audits to staff.
- Involvement in crisis intervention and working as a liaison within the community as needed.
- Ensuring ethical and professional conduct by clinical staff.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field, including active North Carolina clinical supervisor licensure, 4 years licensure as a LCSW, LCAS, or LCMHC and a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a community mental health facility setting
Minimum Licenses/Certifications:
- Required: LCAS and CCS
