Fixed Asset Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:

Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and assist in preparation of financial reports. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial entries and reports, maintaining records of assets, liabilities, and other financial activities.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures

· Manage and account for a large lease portfolio

· Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules

· Track and identify assets

· Prepare capitalization and depreciation entries

· Perform detailed analysis of cost variances

· Reconciliation of GL accounts

· Property Tax compliance

· Complete 1099 Reporting

· Prepare borrow base and cash flow burn rate reports

· Assist with yearly audit

· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS and/or TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred
• Minimum 2-4 Years of Experience in Accounting (Audit experience required)
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is a Must
