Automotive Parts Manager

Job Overview
Buick GMC of Brandywine is looking for a Parts Manager to join our family. The Automotive Parts Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts within our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes and automotive service operations to ensure that all parts are readily available to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in all aspects of parts management.

Duties

• Manage the procurement of automotive parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing from reliable suppliers.
• Oversee supplier management, establishing strong relationships to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective inventory management practices, including regular audits and stock assessments.
• Coordinate the supply chain processes to ensure seamless flow of parts from suppliers to the warehouse and ultimately to the service department.
• Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist in identifying necessary parts for repairs and services.
• Ensure that all warehouse operations are efficient, including organization, storage, and retrieval of parts.
• Supervise warehouse staff, providing training on best practices for inventory handling and forklift operation as needed.
• Implement strategies to optimize warehouse management processes, reducing waste and improving turnaround times.

Skills

• Strong expertise in procurement management and supplier management within the automotive industry.
• Proficient in inventory management techniques with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Knowledgeable in supply chain logistics related to automotive parts distribution.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and service procedures is highly desirable.
• Experience with warehouse operations, including effective space utilization and workflow optimization.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in managing complex inventory systems.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
