Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Modeler to join our team in Boston, MA. This role is pivotal in developing robust data models and implementing enterprise data strategies across diverse platforms. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in RDBMS, AWS Redshift Data Warehouse, ODS, and data lakes while maintaining a proactive approach to solving complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Modeling: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for relational, dimensional, and NoSQL platforms.
• Architecture Expansion: Oversee the growth and optimization of data architecture, focusing on performance and best practices.
• Implementation: Work with business and solution teams to implement data flows, strategies, and models to meet business needs.
• Governance: Define and uphold data modeling and design standards, tools, and best practices.
• Technical Expertise: Design and optimize data query performance, implement automated data loads, and configure analytical models and data visualizations.
• Collaboration: Assist business analysts and developers in understanding and utilizing data models effectively.
• Insurance Domain Knowledge: Apply domain knowledge to support Life and Annuity Insurance-related data needs.
  
  

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with RDBMS, AWS Redshift, operational data stores, data marts, and data lakes.
• Expertise in data architecture, modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Ability to independently address project requirements and reduce risks.
• Strong understanding of business requirements and data integrity rules.
• Familiarity with tools for automated data loads, security protocols, and data visualization.
• Life and Annuity Insurance domain knowledge.

• Proficiency in performance tuning, configuration, and POC sandboxing.
• Advanced knowledge of industry-standard naming conventions and data mapping.
