C Speed is looking for a strong candidate for the Human Resources Generalist position located at our Liverpool, NY facility. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be reporting to the Human Resources Manager, and will be responsible for supporting human resources and other functions at all C Speed facilities. We are a growing company looking for a candidate who will grow with us!
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Support the organization’s human resources department by assisting in the planning and implementation of policies, programs, and practices.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and support requests.
- Administer compensation and benefit plans.
- Assist with open enrollment including, but not limited to, distributing materials from insurance carriers and communicating changes to employees.
- Track PTO/Leave/Attendance and provide employees with information proactively and as needed
- Ensure submission of weekly time reports from Project Managers and Supervisors.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations.
- Assist in talent acquisition and full cycle recruitment, including posting jobs, collecting feedback, performing background checks, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters and following up with candidates
- Conduct employee onboarding orientation and offboarding activities.
- Support collective bargaining unit activities according to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Identify training needs and help facilitate/conduct training initiatives.
- Assist with employee reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Track review dates and completion rates.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
- Enter employee information into database systems such as for benefits and payroll.
- Contact state agencies regarding unemployment balances, notices and missing information.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment and safety laws and regulations.
- Conduct audits of insurance enrollment versus active employees.
- Track company swag for new hires.
- Support logistics of intern residency at Syracuse area corporate apartment, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned within job qualifications.
Requirements:
Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and documentation skills.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- HIGH level of confidentiality a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include PowerPoint, Excel, and Word: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Overnight travel to other facilities as needed.
Preferred
- Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
- Familiar with HRIS systems.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of human resource experience required.
- Current SHRM or HRCI credentials or within first six months of employment.
- Collective Bargaining Unit experience preferred.
