Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Manager to oversee our inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking of stock, and implementing efficient warehouse practices. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and the ability to analyze data effectively to support production planning and procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day inventory control operations for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts, overstocks, and waste.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control procedures, policies, and systems to optimize inventory levels and minimize discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely inventory replenishment.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, ensuring discrepancies are identified and corrected promptly.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work closely with relevant departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system and ensure real-time data is updated.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to inventory turnover, lead times, and order fulfillment performance.
  • Provide training to staff on inventory management best practices and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within inventory management processes and recommend process enhancements.
  • Assist with the forecasting and planning of material requirements in alignment with production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to inventory and storage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to address inventory issues and optimize supply chain performance.
  • Lead and participate in inventory audits and assist with audit preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or logistics management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in cable assembly or electronics (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP systems (experience with Rubicon preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory records.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to other facilities or supplier locations as needed.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
