Requirements
Education: A degree or technical certificate in engineering, construction management, a related discipline, or the equivalent work experience.
Experience: A working knowledge of construction techniques and procedures including knowledge and experience with the methods employed by Caliber 1 Construction. Safety awareness, Computer knowledge.
Licensing/Certification: U.S. Citizen and Driver’s License. OSHA 10 and/or 30 Preferred

- Computer or other related electronic devices ability.
- Physically demanding requires turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists and fingers.
- Superintendents may be required to stand on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts, and may be required to lift heavy boxes of thirty pounds or more
Mental:
- Computer: Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore or similar), accounting cost management software (Sage or similar), scheduling software (Microsoft Project or similar) and Adobe/Bluebeam.
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, inter and intra company correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively before employee and clients.
- Mathematics: Ability to calculate or track: productivity standards, various mix combinations, takeoffs, and necessary budgetary calculations, etc.

- Knowledge of project scheduling. Experience in assigning and monitoring tasks to assure timely completion within projected costs.
- Good leadership skills. A desire and the aptitude to make and to implement sound business decisions.
- Good problem-solving skills. The ability to identify and to resolve problems.
- Good time management skills. The ability and leadership to complete projects on time.
- The ability to read, to analyze, and to interpret construction drawings, project plans, CAD files, and project-related documents.
- The ability to communicate effectively in Standard American English, both written and oral, with subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
Duties and Tasks:
- Assure that a safe, healthy, and hazard free working environment is maintained and is enforced at all times to safeguard employees and subcontractors of Caliber 1 Construction.
- Ensure that the all-project team members understand and support the customer as priority in all activities and tasks.
- Completion of projects and assignments within established profit and performance plans, as directed by the Project Manager.
- Enforce company policies and procedures at all times.
- Evaluate and discipline those employees reporting directly to the superintendent
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and discuss issues with the project manager.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned or authorized by the Field Operations Director.
