We are looking for someone that can start off helping to manage a few properties and then grow from there. The position would be part time for the first few months, with the available hours increasing as we added more properties.
A few days of in-office work would be required each month, but the rest could be remote and flexible.
Job Summary
The Property Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of residential or commercial properties. This position involves ensuring tenant satisfaction, maintaining property standards, and adhering to legal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of property management practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and vendors.
Duties
- Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Oversee property maintenance and repairs, coordinating with vendors and service providers as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of property operations, including tenant leases, contracts, and maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements related to property management.
- Assist in the marketing of available units to attract prospective tenants through effective sales techniques.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.
- Process lease agreements, renewals, and terminations while ensuring adherence to LIHTC guidelines when applicable.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance activities and scheduling repairs.
Skills
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and legal aspects of property management.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with tenants and vendors.
- Familiarity with contract management processes related to property leasing.
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Sales skills to effectively market properties and negotiate lease agreements.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.67 - $20.84 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
