About Us
The Canal Fulton and Lawrence Township Fire Department is in Northwest Stark County. We have approximately 55 employees ranging from Administrative Staff to Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians. The fire department operates out of one station. We provide emergency medical services, emergency response for all hazards, and community prevention services.

Pay Scale
The pay scale is currently being determined as this is a new role within the fire department
Ideal Applicant
- Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, software, and equipment, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based software applications
- Experience with processing payroll and accounts receivable/payable transactions
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payroll
- Experience with onboarding/offboarding and general human relations functions
- Documented coursework or training in administrative duties or other subjects listed above
- Greets visitors and responds to inquiries via phone and email; Sorts and distributes mail and packages
- Process bi-weekly payroll, which includes standard earnings, tracking of leave requests
- Creates regular reports and updates internal databases
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including interview coordination, new hire paperwork and orientation
- Maintains employee files
- Performs office and administrative duties to assist management, including ordering supplies, responding to public records requests, and facilitating meeting
- Assists with public outreach efforts, including creating social media content, planning and executing community events, coordinating station tours, and developing communication pieces

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
