Capital City Club - Crabapple is searching for a dedicated, self-motivated, and collaborative individual to join our Culinary Department as a Line Cook. This role offers great cross-training opportunities, especially on sauté and grill stations.
What Sets Us Apart?
Our culinary schedule is unique, with the kitchen open from 7 am to 7 pm daily, except during special events. Your typical 8-hour workday will conveniently fall within this timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up your station following restaurant guidelines.
- Prepare all food items with precision and hygiene in mind.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant.
- Restock items as needed during your shift.
- Keep your station clean and organized, emphasizing safety and sanitation.
- Understand and efficiently use all equipment in your station.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in professional cooking, recipe execution, and line cooking.
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- At least 1 year of scratch cooking experience.
- Strong English language and professional communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organizational abilities.
- Dedication to delivering quality service and culinary expertise.
- Comfort with standing throughout the entire shift.
- Occasional exposure to environmental factors like cold, heat, and water.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Ability to understand basic cooking directions, as this is a member-facing role.
