Capitol Imaging Services, LLC has several locations in the New Orleans metro market. We currently have an opening for a Full-time Call Center Scheduler who is a talented individual possessing a solutions-oriented mindset, the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in written format to a variety of individuals, has experience speaking with customers over the telephone and the ability to attract first time customers and retain long-term customers by providing world-class customer service with a “patients first mentality”.
The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace busy environment utilizing a phone, phone headset and computer, making in bound-outbound calls, remains courteous with customers, patients, referring physician office personnel and employees. CIS needs someone who is dependable, mature, has a good work ethic, has knowledge of medical terminology & anatomy, maintains a professional attitude and is a team player. In addition, the candidate must be proficient at entering data and typing into various software applications. Healthcare and/or Call Center experience preferred a basic understanding of medical terminology. Bi-lingual Spanish or Vietnamese a plus.
Working hours various shifts: Monday - Friday

Essential Duties:

- Schedules appointments in accordance with patient, physician and/or department requirements; coordinates with other departments as necessary; enters appropriate patient information in the scheduling software.
- Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician and patient schedule changes.
- Demonstrates a good knowledge of insurance procedures including requirements of each plan with which the clinic is contracted. Recognizes and records changes in patient information, updates information in computer. Inform patients of clinic procedures: exam prep, arrival time etc.
- Excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills.
- Fast learner from hands-on training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.
- Superior organizational and problem resolution skills.
- Strong basic computer software (MS Office) and scheduling software skills.
- Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Ability to listen to customers (patients, referring offices and internal colleagues) and to understand and respond positively to their requests.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to conduct business with attention to ethical considerations.
Education: High school or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology & Anatomy.
