Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our company's fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the fleet operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.
Duties:
- Manage the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles and heavy equipment
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and services
- Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and overall fleet performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Oversee the scheduling of vehicle inspections and registrations
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in heavy equipment operation
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of Freightliner equipment preferred
- Familiarity with HVAC systems in vehicles
- Ability to supervise tire service on various types of vehicles
- Proficiency in maintaining, suspending, and assembling vehicle components
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles
