We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities in Richland and Lexington Counties. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with physical and developmental disabilities and possess a strong background in caregiving. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide direct support to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe environment for clients.
- Provide transportation and assist with errands
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare providers..
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred.
- Ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Familiarity providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other caregivers.
- A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with personal care, including lifting or transferring clients as needed.
