Job Overview
The Social Services Director will be responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of all service programs under the Consolidated Waiver. Duties
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of social service programs tailored for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Supervise and mentor staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in social services.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving service quality and client satisfaction.
- Provide administrative support including reporting, documentation, and data management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Strong background in program development and management within the social services sector.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management related to social service programs.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development and relationship management.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and their application in social services.
- Degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients, families, and stakeholders.
