Carolina Canners supplies its stockholders and bottlers across the southeast with the highest of quality soft drinks from a very modern production center located in Cheraw, SC. Carolina Canners has expanded has expanded many times and now has a flex can line with 3 fillers, 2 bottle production lines, a fountain syrup production line, and a pasteurized hot fill bottle line all of which produce numerous packages and brands, flavors, of water, fruit juice drinks, tea, energy drinks and non-carbonated and carbonated drinks.
POSITION SUMMARY
To provide continuous monitoring, compliance, and improvement of all regulatory companies that govern the production of our food/beverage products. Oversee and manage employees to ensure compliance with safety and GMP guidelines. Inspect, monitor, and inventory the conditions of all ingredient raw materials entering the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical and process knowledge for water treatment / wastewater, product batching product testing, package testing, sanitation and supplier capability.
- Protect Pepsi-Cola Trademark and ensure product integrity.
- Monitor and develop training plans to improve quality and consumer performance.
- Oversee regulatory compliance.
- Coach and train Quality team to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review paperwork to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Establish and maintain communication with HQ Quality.
- Maintain parent company recipes and set them up / double check them after entry in batching systems.
- Maintain Hold log and determination status for release.
- Fix batches that weak or too strong.
- Track defective materials.
- Maintain operable coding equipment
- Monitor category compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Order and Manage inventory levels of raw materials such as: concentrate, HFCS, CO2, and nitrogen.
- Performs additional duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of quality beverage experience.
- Training in Quality, PCQI 3, Micro & Sanitation
- Understands GMP requirements
- Computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
