- Responsible to Director of Cancer Treatment Services, the Chief Radiation Therapist, and the Radiation Oncologist
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- The Radiation Oncology Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologists.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- ARRT registered or registry eligible graduate of an AMA approved school of radiation oncology technology, having a working knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of a radiation oncology department.
- The Radiation Therapist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.

- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
- Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
