Job Summary
As a Quality Care Medical Assistant, you will create and streamline an efficient process to assure quality measures are met and recorded for providers and patients. This role involves logging gap measures, managing diagnostic test results, and ensuring medication adherence, all while providing exceptional patient care and support.
Role and Responsibilities
- Log in to the insurance reporting systems to log gap measures and diagnosis gaps that can be closed.
- File and log diagnostic test results that come via fax in the patient's chart so the physician is aware if an order needs to be made at the time of the patient's appointment and then fax the reports to the insurance carrier.
- Log all attestations returned, scan them in, and close gaps and diagnoses captured during patient visits.
- Review medication adherence reports for patients due to fill medications and have not, contact patients to remind them to pick up their medications.
- Identify patients that have not been in for the year and are not scheduled for future visits and get them scheduled for their annual wellness visit.
- Identify patients that have been seen but have not yet completed their diagnostic testing and contact them as a care team to get them set up for the test and place orders if necessary.
