Role: Data Engineer - AWS
Location: Phoenix, AZ - onsite
Duration: Full Time
Job Summary: The Data Engineers will be responsible for assessing our current data architecture, identifying gaps, and developing a comprehensive roadmap to enhance our data platform. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and secure data solutions on AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Assessment:
- Evaluate the current data architecture, tools, and processes.
- Conduct a gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Gather and analyze business requirements to inform design decisions.
- Roadmap Development:
- Develop a strategic roadmap for data architecture and engineering initiatives.
- Prioritize enhancements based on business impact and feasibility.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Design & Implementation:
- Design scalable, reliable, and secure data architecture on AWS.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement data solutions.
- Ensure best practices in data governance, data quality, and compliance.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create detailed documentation of architecture designs and processes.
- Provide training and support to team members on AWS data tools and services.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and AWS.
- Recommend tools and technologies that can enhance data capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer, preferably with AWS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena).
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics) are a plus.
