We are the largest private provider of residential and community-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the state of Kentucky. We are a local non-profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of people with IDD. What you’ll do:
This role is responsible for driving clients to Medicaid approved appointments and residences in Louisville and La Grange. This role functions as a member of the Cedar Lake Residences team..
- Effectively and efficiently transport individuals to destinations that are provided.
- Ensure that all relevant laws, regulations and policies are enforced.
- Perform driving responsibilities independent of direct care responsibilities.
- Responsible for maintaining updated driver training.
- Responsible for inspection of vehicles to ensure compliance with all ADA and other Federal, State and Local regulatory standards and laws.
- Maintain related individual records. Ensure that information is complete, accurate, submitted in a timely manner and remains confidential.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What sets you apart:
- Ability to drive 12-15 passenger van or bus.
- Valid Driver's License & insurance required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- Driving record acceptable to DOT and insurance requirements.
- 1 year of transportation experience
- Ability to use technology, including mobile apps
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, I/DD is preferred but not required
What your typical schedule looks like:
- Full-time, hourly, 30 hours per week. Split shift - morning and afternoon. Some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the individuals we support, and to provide staff training for all shifts.
