Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our surgical team. The LPN will assist in the pre-operative and post-operative care of patients, ensuring a smooth and safe surgical experience. This role requires attention to detail, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in pre-operative patient preparation, including vital sign monitoring and medication reconciliation.
• Provide post-operative care, including patient monitoring and discharge instructions.
• Administer medications as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON) and physicians.
• Assist with sterilization and infection control procedures to maintain a safe surgical environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and electronic health records (EHR).
• Provide compassionate and effective communication to patients and families.
• Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers to ensure seamless patient care.
• Follow state and AAAHC regulatory requirements for ambulatory surgical centers.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in the state of Nevada.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a surgical, ambulatory, or outpatient setting preferred.
• BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
