What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Clinical Supervisor position at Central Coast VNA & Hospice?
The Hospice Clinical Supervisor assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability for directing the hospice programs under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and as back up to the Clinical Manager in their absence. Actively participates in the management of clinical aspects and quality assurance of the hospice programs, and the selection, supervision and optimal utilization of qualified personnel. Implements policies and procedures. Facilitates clinical management of patients. Coordinates and attends patient care planning conferences. Participates in patient care assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Participates in licensing surveys and reviews. Serves on or leads various committees. Promotes favorable public relations.

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications: Possession of a Registered Nurse License (RN) to practice healthcare in the State of California and current CPR certification, with at least 2 years of recent experience in home care or hospice, preferably with 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent training in a home health or hospice agency. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, decision-making, and time-management skills. Working knowledge of: Title XXII, HIM-11, Medi-Cal requirements, agency policies and procedures.
