Director of Finance and Administration

Central Montessori Academy (CMA) is accepting applications for a Director of Finance and Administration to begin October 2024. The Director of Finance and Administration is accountable to the head of school and, working with board treasurer and the Finance Committee, manages the resources of CMA in support of the students and employees. Responsible for the planning, control, accounting and reporting of income, expense, and contributed and invested funds of the school, the Director of Finance and Administration will manage all activities designated as business office responsibilities including physical plant and grounds, risk management and insurance, transportation, employee compensation and personnel policies, facilities leasing, city, state and federal government compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 3-years experience
  • Ability to work with both students (18 months - 12) and adults on campus in a productive and respectful manner.
  • Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques
  • Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management
  • Ability to analyze and organize financial data
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new computer software packages (e.g. TADS, Quickbooks, Bills.com)
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of an institutional leadership and management team
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
