Medical Assistant (will train right candidate)

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assists in the delivery of primary health care and orthopedic patient care management.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

1. Transports patients from waiting area to exam rooms
2. Performs selected nursing duties required by each physician.
3. Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
4. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
5. Applies dressings, application of durable medical equipment, assists in patient care.
6. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization for office and satellite clinics.
7. Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
8. Orders and maintains clinical and pharmaceutical supplies.
9. Maintains patient files by documenting information.
10. Participates in professional developmental activities and maintains professional affiliations.
11. Maintains patient and office confidentiality.
12. Assists with insurance and precertification for procedures and testing.
13. Performs clinical studies after adequate training.
14. Assists with front office duties when needed including receptionist and file room duties.
15. Participate in required office meetings.

16. Maintain OSHA requirements to provide a safe environment.'
