POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Billing Supervisor, this role manages all self-pay collection activities for the hospital. The position ensures compliance with hospital credit and collection policies while assisting patients and guarantors in resolving financial questions and concerns, providing guidance on available options.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of Financial Services experience, to include customer billing
- 1 year of Customer Care/Support experience
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts such as deductible, coinsurance, contractuals, coordination of benefits and reading explanation of benefits. General understanding of Medicare/ Medicaid programs
