NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED SUPPORT STAFF VACANCY
STONY BROOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

FULL TIME ANTICIPATED TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT
7.5 HOURS PER DAY
186 DAYS PER YEAR

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintenance of all computers, iPads, and printers, and oversight of computer lab(s) at assigned building(s). Provide and/or facilitate technical support for end-users.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Please note: These duties may vary depending on the needs of the building(s) to which the Technology Assistant is assigned.)

• Responsible for maintenance of all computers, iPads, and printers for assigned building(s), as per district procedure.
• Oversee and maintain computer lab(s) (stationary and/or mobile) within assigned building. Schedule classroom and individual use.
• Provide technical support to end-users. Run diagnostic tests as needed.
• Assist with hardware- and network-related inquiries and/or refer to District’s Technology Support Specialist or Network Administrator, as needed.
• Responsible for maintenance of software inventory at assigned location(s).
• Assist with selection and budgeting for assigned buildings’ annual technology needs.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory records.
• Perform special projects and other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-high school/advanced training or equivalent on-the-job experience/training in computer technical support
• Previous experience utilizing various software and hardware with some user support duties; experience using Macintosh OS platoform prefered
• Must have (or willing to obtain) current PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks

Hourly Rate:
$15.83-$20.32

• Step placement shall be based on years of service recognized by employer.
