This job pays $20.50 an hour $1.00 for shift differential

Shift

2nd Shift (2:30 pm-11:30pm) some Saturdays required and flexibility to work past scheduled end times as needed

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting the production supervisor across all functional departments on a designated shift to maintain personnel and food safety while ensuring production lines meet budgeted costs. Assist with enforcing all policies, maintain proper labor levels, and train and develop employees.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist supervisor in overall efficiency of the production floor and process
• Work with supervisor to train and develop production employees, monitor personnel performance
• Maintain product quality and integrity by checking for irregularities and deficiencies
• Maintain and adhere to preparation, cooking, filling, packaging guidelines
• Assist team members when needed with duties to ensure compliance and guideline are met
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Will be required to fill in as supervisor if needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Able to work in cold environments ( 32-34 degrees)
• Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed
• Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks required at all times
• Will work around moving machinery
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to walk, reach, bend and lift for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must meet expectations on Safety, Attendance, Teamwork, Quality, and Productivity metrics
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals
• Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers
• Leadership skills essential
• Must be able to work in team environment

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous lead/supervisor experience required
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience using computers/Microsoft Office
