Litigation Paralegal Legal Assistant
Duties
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements
- Manage and organize legal documents using CLIO or other law firm document management systems
- Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Prepare and efile legal documents with courts and government agencies
- Maintain case files and ensure all necessary documents are properly organized
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal or similar role
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in conducting legal research and using research tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with document management systems, such as iManage or similar software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including Clio
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred
